Cub Scout Pack 827

This year's pinewood derby will be held at North Gwinnett High School on Saturday, January 21.  Please check with your den leader, if you did not receive your car kit at the December Pack meeting, and mark your calendars. 

As we did last year, we will be following the Button Gwinnett District rules.   Please pay particular attention to the Lubrication rules.  Only dry powdered white Teflon lubricant is allowed.  No graphite or other lubricants are allowed.  This includes the spray Teflon lubricant.  Some boys were disqualified from the district event in 2011 for using spray Teflon lubricant.  Please read this rule carefully.

The Home Depot in Buford will be holding another Derby Day at the Depot on January 14, 2012 from 8 AM-2 PM.  This is an excellent opportunity to get your car cut out.  This event is highly recommended.   Please note the line was quite long last year, so please allow yourself plenty of time for this event.   Below are the key dates for the 2012 Derby:

Derby Day at the Buford Home Depot - Saturday, January 14th. 8 - 2 pm 

Registration - North Gwinnett High School commons area -Friday, January 20 - 7-9PM

Sat Morning Registration (for those unable to make Friday Registration) - North Gwinnett High School commons area - Saturday, January 21 - 9AM - 10AM

Race - North Gwinnett High School commons area - Saturday, January 21 - 10AM - 12P
